If so, lets talk. Your Role and Responsibilities We are looking for a creative tax technologist to join our Tax Technology team. The primary role for this position is to assist in administrating tax software products and identifying ways to utilize currently licensed and available technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Income Tax Provision process. The key responsibilities for this role will include Assist the Tax/Tax Accounting functions with process and data management needs, including the analysis and improvement of processes, obtaining, handling and analysis of data through tax systems and warehousing of data for workflow, reference and analytics. Work with global tax accounting clients to understand their overall operational, data, and information requirements across the tax lifecycle in order to design, create, and implement standardized Excel templates for tax workpaper packages, data collection, book-to-tax reports, extraction reports, consolidation reports, and analytics Serve as co-administrator for ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) and ONESOURCE Workpapers to develop and execute ideas for integrating these tools Work with the Tax Technology and Tax Provision teams to execute rollover, dataset maintenance, adjustment mappings for each Tax Provision Cycle (both forecast and actual) Maintain legal entities and sub-consolidations Assist with global roll-out and training of ONESOURCE Tax Tools as needed Communicate changing system requirements to the IT, tax/tax accounting team, end-users Conduct training and maintain user guides and other documentation Monitor and review system access Resolve user issues Identify tax technology and process needs within the tax team, including initiatives for process improvements, automation and application of tax process and technology best suited for the tax team. Assist with the implementation of processes that optimize the use of technology and best practices. Build and maintain relationships with key technology providers. Serve as back up administrator for other tax software applications as assigned Assist in the consolidation of the tax provision for the quarterly and annual reporting periods, including assisting the tax provision team in calculating annual and quarterly effective tax rates, documenting quarterly tax provision processes which satisfy SOX 404 requirements Act as a liaison among Tax, Tax Accounting and IT functions Required Professional and Technical Expertise Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax and/or Technology with 3 years of broad experience in corporate tax department or in public accounting with an affinity for tax technology Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage complex and interrelated processes and projects Good understanding of corporate income tax provision and compliance processes Experience with Excel integration and Add-in tools Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PC based programs Excel (i.e. Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS functions, formulas) Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision and Workpapers (preferred) Awareness of maintenance and implementation of system and Sarbanes Oxley controls Experience working with teams across multiple business units Ability to communicate effectively with business partners Good organization skills and ability to effectively prioritize and manage time is required Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise Prefer experience at one of the Big Four accounting firms.
