Organization The Global Tax Center is a component of the BHGE Tax organisation. The Tax Team in the Center provides Tax services to the legal entities operated by BHGE across the world in partnership with the controllership, product company and corporate tax teams. Services scope include US and local GAAP tax accounting, preparing tax returns and workpapers (CIT, VAT/GST, WHT, Local Taxes, and TP reporting), organizing tax payments and reconciliations, providing support and responses for tax audits, and supporting projects. Responsibilities Liaise with local corporate tax teams with regard to the tax lifecycle for Brazil and be the interface with finance, auditors and corporate tax including DCTF and Good standing renewal (CND) Review and approve the quarterly/annual tax provision for entities assigned and FIN 48 analysis Coordinate the SOX compliance and controls over taxes handled at the Center Ensure accuracy and adequacy of tax processes by evaluating relevant policies and procedures and communicating to Corporate Tax Team Ensure tax workflows are performed on time, documented and tools are used by Analysts and Managers Provide audit and tax support for more complicated tax issues Manage and lead the tax manages and analysts Provide active and ongoing advice and support to Product Company, Regional, Country and Tax Planning Tax Teams Lead Center projects and continuous improvement efforts Drive training and education for tax personnel Lead and manage budget and fees of external service providers Create and continuously improve Qualitative and Quantitative performance metrics for work performed at Center Coordinate the tax controlling activities for other countries as assigned Skills & Experience Essential Bachelors degree in accounting. Masters preferred Written and verbal fluency in English and Portuguese Minimum of 10 years work experience of CIT in large multinational/ Big 4 or Shared Service Center (knowledge of other taxes is a plus) Strong expertise in direct tax processes and compliance Good analytical, organization and communication skills. Ability to technically discuss tax issues with Controllership, Product Company, Corporate Tax and auditors Management skills to review work of others and develop staff Leadership skills to establish goals, priorities and objectives and continuous improvement Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Access Experienced with accounting and tax systems; Oracle, SAP, OneSource is an advantage Work Location Rio de Janiero - Brazil This is your opportunity to learn more, do more, live the career you have imagined and be part of a truly diverse organization Baker Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
