If so, please read onRobertson Bell Finance are working with a well-known healthcare research charity to recruit an Interim Year-End Accountant. Based in Central London, the role joins their high performing team for a period of 6-8 months.Reporting to the FD, the main responsibilities of the role are as follows:Lead and manage an experienced team of five through the year-end statutory accounts process.Ensure balance sheet integrity and tight financial controls across the board but focussing specifically on Purchase Orders.Review gift aid submissions and carry out compliance checks on current VAT procedures.Manage the relationship with the auditors, fielding any queries they have and escalating any serious problems to the FD.The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant (preferably either ACA or ACCA qualified) with extensive experience of producing year-end accounts. Experience of working in the charity sector will be beneficial to your application but is not an essential requirement. Finally, you must have previously managed a team of at least two people.This is an urgent requirement so you will need to be available immediately or with a short notice period to be considered.
