A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller at a manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Knaresborough. The successful candidate will report directly into the Credit Manager and will join a team of 8 in finance. It is an excellent chance to join a large, nationally recognised organisation and will gives access to a large finance function. Full support is provided and there could potentially be CICM study support included in the package as well. The role involves a lot of query resolving and so at least 2 years Credit Control experience is a requirement. It suits an individual used to working in a fast paced environment. As the Credit Controller you will be responsible for the following: Collecting overdue accounts by phone, e-mail or letter. Ensuring cash collection targets and other KPI's are achieved. Building up strong relationships with new and existing clients. Discussing and setting up payment plans with customers. Dealing with complex customer queries and processing debit notes to ensure prompt payment. Accurately allocating payments onto the customer's sales ledger. Maintaining regular contact with customers to ensure payment terms are kept to a minimum. Meeting key clients as and when required. Attendance and contribution to ledger review meetings. Monitoring and managing both current and overdue debt on Sales Ledger. Other ad hoc tasks as and when required. The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 2 years Credit Control experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail. An adaptable approach to managing the workload. Good organisation skills.
