Pure are recruiting an Internal Auditor role for a long standing client to be based in their offices in Basildon, Essex. The purpose of the role is to conduct internal audit and investigations work, as well as oversee the controls environment and governance in general, across the Group. The role will report into the CFO with a strong dotted line into the Chair of the Audit Committee and involve travel across the UK. Key
responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct end to end audit assignments
• Understand the risks of the operation, determine the scope of the audit, agree final actions with management and write the audit reports
• Produce and share the results of the audit findings with senior and local management, highlight areas for improvement and work closely with local management to implement improvements
• Understand the key risks, opportunities and business processes that will determine the achievement of short- and medium-term objectives
• Identify and communicate best practice from audits
• Liaise with External Auditors on controls and process improvement that could help improve the annual audit process
• Identify and lead process improvements across the Group, particularly in inventory management, ICT environment and key performance metrics, working where appropriate with stream leads among colleagues The candidate:-
• ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant with experience within a top 10 firm / practice
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically in the UK
• Ability to evidence prior success conducting external and internal audits
• Extensive experience in report writing and strong communication skills
