T2M Resourcing are recruiting a qualified accountant to undertake the role of Finance Manager for this major south Bedfordshire based company. The opportunity has become available due to internal promotion and will report to the Financial Controller of this £1b group that multiple UK businesses. Leading a team of up to 8 qualified and part qualified finance staff you will be accountable for the your remit will include the following: Timely and accurate period end reporting (financial and management accounts) that meet local entity and group requirements under IFRS Leadership and development of your direct reports in addition to working closely with the finance shared services functions to ensure compliance and best practice with a 'right first time' outcome for the financial reporting of business(es) under your remit Communicating results (and highlighting any issues) to the senior leadership team Ensuring high integrity and adherence to group reporting policies and working with the team to drive a continuous improvement culture Oversee general ledger account reconciliation processes and query resolution management Managing internal audit and external audit requests To be the Balance Sheet 'subject matter expert' including responsibility for forecasting / budget and net debt variance reporting To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with proven post qualified experience Strong technical (IFRS) accounting skills with a high attention to detail and passionate about providing accurate and timely information including Balance Sheet reporting and controls Large company experience where you will have had exposure to high volume transactions across multiple entities A process improvement approach to everything you do together with the ability to develop people and inspire them to achieve a 'right first time' outcome to everything they do Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and the ability to build trust in your team capability Excellent IT skills across the Microsoft suite and major ERP systems such as Oracle, JDE, SAP In return you will receive a competitive salary (up to £54,000) plus car / car allowance of £6,000 and excellent benefits aligned to working for a major group.
