We are an independent Charity with a contract to deliver library services in Hertfordshire on behalf of the County Council and we are looking for a Business & Finance Manager to help us to grow and develop our organisation. Our ambition is for Hertfordshire to be the leading library service in England, and we believe that our professional experience and expertise, our commitment to innovation and our deep roots in Hertfordshire communities will allow us to achieve this.This is a new post and it is expected that the successful applicant will help to further develop and refine the role over time. The Business & Finance Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and is ultimately responsible for managing the finances and effective administration of the business. The successful applicant will play a key role in strategic financial management, business planning and risk management to enable Libraries for Life to make well-informed business decisions and ensure that robust financial processes are in place.It should be noted that for a fixed period, Hertfordshire County Council will be providing support to Libraries for Life with the provision of finance reporting and transaction processing. The post-holder would therefore be required to work closely with Herts Finance and their Business Partners in order to support with these processes.To be suitable, you must be a qualified finance professional with excellent communications skills and the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
