Motor Glass are looking for an Assistant Accountant for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. The successful applicant will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of the Motor Glass Management accounts and Balance sheet reconciliations. The role will include: Ensuring all glass purchases are accurate and reported in the accounts correctly. This will include liaising with the team in Leicester, the suppliers, Purchase Ledger and the mobile technicians. Calculating technician's bonus payments. Posting accrual and prepayment journals. Preparing and posting the payroll journal. Liaising with Purchase Ledger to ensure invoices are coded correctly. Liaising with Credit Control to understand aged debt issues. Produce the Motor Glass accounts pack and review with the Financial Controller. Supplying information to the operational team in Leicester for Customer KPIs. Updating Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviewing with the Financial Controller. Working with Auditors to supply relevant information and answer any queries. Completing any ad-hoc work requested by the Financial Controller. The successful applicant will ideally: Be AAT qualified or sitting their final papers or studying towards an accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, formulas eg. Vlookups, Pivot Tables. Show a high level of attention to detail. Be able to work to strict deadlines. Have experience of Pegasus
