On behalf of our client, a well-established, Top 100 accountancy practice, we are recruiting for an Outsourcing Accounts Assistant to join the outsourcing team at the firm's Oxford office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with an enviable reputation. Whilst this is a junior role, you will need to have experience within a similar position to ensure that you can undertake fundamental tasks with minimum supervision from the outset. As Outsourcing Accounts Assistant, you will have the following
responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and completion of VAT returns Building productive working relationships within the firm and with clients Bookkeeping, including; preparing opening balance journals, processing sales and purchase invoices and reconciling the bank account Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on the job training and formal qualifications Using a variety of accounting software packages including CCH, Sage and Xero This firm is looking for a dynamic person to join the team, someone who is curious, forward-thinking and assimilates information quickly, who takes pride in every task carried out for the clients. To be considered for this position, applicants will satisfy the following criteria: Educated to A Level or higher AAT qualified or part qualified At least 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice Strong communication skills, verbal and written Exceptional attention to detail Excellent IT skills, specifically Xero and some knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Sage and CCH would be an advantage A positive, confident and proactive attitude Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated This firm will offer the successful candidate: Exposure to a wide range of clients across many industry sectors A Line Manager who will work closely with you to support you through your development and provide day to day guidance as well as a Buddy to help you get up to speed Competitive salary and benefits package including flexible working, pension, life assurance and a fantastic retail discount scheme 20 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service plus the opportunity to buy/sell holiday to fit your lifestyle Modern, recently refurbished attractive central Oxford office A comprehensive induction to help you get up to speed Full funding and support to complete the AAT qualification, including study leave & time off for exams We can only accept applications from candidates that have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
