I am working with an executive non-departmental public body who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with NHS experience for 12 months. The role is full time based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire and to start ASAP. It is paying £22.39 PAYE or £30.16 Umbrella per hour. The role is in scope of IR35. The role: As Finance Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service which supports managers and staff across the East of England region to: Deliver an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Regional Team to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe services in line with national and sub national policy objectives. Support the Finance Senior Manager to develop and deliver effective financial plans for all aspects of Primary Care which support overall delivery of national and local priorities and work within available funding to support Commissioning. Undertake financial and information analysis across a range of services, including and not limited to, budget setting and monitoring, and activity and cost analysis. Support delivery of the management accounts function within the remit of the post. Provide a regular financial position, forecast and risks within the remit of the post. The post holder will support the Head of Department and their team to ensure that their work stream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery: Manage the team's business support function, including developing and managing the team's business plan, progress and reporting risk and issue management. Liaise with appropriate functions within the regions, organisation and the Sector. Manage all corporate business returns, including planning and workforce returns. Develop and implement a content management system to ensure information is properly managed and best practice is shared across the team, Directorate and the wider NHS organisation. Take a lead in the coordination of training & development and recruitment activity across the team. Oversight and management of all aspects of the team/ project budgets.Experience, skills & qualifications: 1) Previous NHS Experience 2) Experience with budget monitoring/forecasting 3) Excel skills, advanced ideally -comfortable with pivot tables and large data 3) AAT qualification essential and ideally CCAB Part Qualified Day to Day duties include: 1) Budget monitoring (month end process) 2) Costing 3) Forecasts 4) Managing the charges to CCGs 5) Supervising payments made to GPS 6) They will be also responsible for a band 5 payment supervisor Please only apply for this post if you are an experienced NHS Finance Manager and available on no more than a week's notice.
