If so, we may have the opportunity for you Travis Perkins are currently recruiting for a Stock Finance Managerto join our progressive and professional Finance department. Youll be leading a team of three analysts responsible for delivering high-quality monthly processes for stock finance for many of the Groups business units. The teams monthly responsibilities include posting gross stock journals, accounting for obsolete stock and calculating stock valuation provisions, as well as other gross margin related monthly processes. This is a high profile role requiring strong relationships and business partnering with our business unit finance teams. You will be responsible for providing commercially insightful reporting to the business units and working with them to investigate and resolve differences. In addition you will be responsible for the Group stock report and stock input into the Monthly Executive Pack, providing insightful commentary on key variances. Youll also be responsible for: - Reviewing processes and reporting produced by the stock finance team with the objective of proposing and implementing process and control improvements - Developing commercially focused obsolete stock reporting including actionable insights for supply chain teams to reduce the level of dead stock in the business - Providing effective control and ownership of the stock balance sheet control accounts and resolving queries arising from review. - Managing the year end and subsequent audit process for stock, ensuring effective delivery of our auditors requirements on time and to a high standard. - Taking a lead role for change management for stock finance in any implementation of a new finance system. - Providing support and guidance on ad hoc projects to improve processes relating to gross margin and other stock-related areas. What were looking for: To be considered, youll need to be a qualified accountant with proven experience within a large company or a top 4 Accountancy firm.
