This job offers the successful candidate a chance to gain experience in all aspects of accountancy and administration in a friendly organisation. The company is a successful 3rd generation family run business and loyalty and trust are important to the firm. The is a vital role in the organisation and the candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build on their existing experience. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and develop so that they can progress through the company. The Role Key Responsibilities will be: Reconciling Receipts and Payments through the bank Entering Sales invoices onto Xero Ensuring Income is allocated to correct period Coding Purchase Ledger Invoices on Auto entry Updating Daily Income Spreadsheets Aged Debtor Reporting Some Credit Control Aged Creditor Reporting Assisting with weekly Bacs and Cheque pay runs Answering phone calls and general office duties In time, training will be given on the Month End Process, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Vat and Companies House Returns. The Candidate Ideally you will have experience in Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Bank Reconciliations however full training will be given. You should also have experience using Xero, or similar cloud based accountancy systems. The successful Candidate will have a desire to pursue a career in Accountancy. You will have a high attention to detail, good communications skills, work well with the team and be a confident user of MS Excel. A Team player with a positive attitude is key.
