Audit Senior / Audit Executive - Superb Role McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly regarded audit-only Accounting Firm who are looking for a Qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Senior to join their growing team. You will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of a diverse and exciting range of domestic and international clients of different sizes and from various sectors including financial services, entertainment, holding companies, IT companies, transportation etc. The majority of the client base is UK companies owned by investors from Europe, Russia and Ukraine. Key duties include:
• Carrying out Audit assignments for SME/OMBs and larger corporate businesses in specific Industry Sectors as mentioned above
• Responsible for planning assignments, taking responsibility for achieving agreed budgets and meeting deadlines.
• Setting objectives for junior staff and supervising them on site including reviewing their audit work and coaching on-the-job
• Reviewing accounts for Ltd companies, groups of companies, partnerships and LLP's
• Close liaison with clients and other stakeholders, building long-term relationships for the future benefit of the firm
• Ensuring all Audit work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with internal standards
• Producing training material and regularly making presentations to trainees on a variety of topics.
• Preparation for (and attending) final Audit review meetings with partners and clients
• Attending external business seminars and events to help build relationships with clients and prospective new clients To be considered for the role you should be a qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant, ideally degree-educated with at least 3 years practice experience in Audit & Accounts and some staff management skills. Experience with group audits and FCA regulated firms is highly desirable, you should be a clear communicator with strong commercial skills, and are able to develop good working relationships with clients. Ideally, you should also have experience of paperless audit & tax software systems such as Caseware and Alphatax. Russian or a European language would also be a distinct advantage for this position, but is not essential. On offer is a salary up to £45,000 depending on qualification and depth of relevant experience, with benefits to include company pension, healthcare and holidays.
