Loungers Background Loungers was founded in 2002 and operates two brands; Lounge which are Café bars and Cosy Club which are Bar/Restaurants. The group is backed by Private equity house Lion Capital, which invested in the business in December 2016. This position gives the successful applicant the chance to be part of this exciting, dynamic company based from its HQ in Central Bristol. Your Opportunity. As Management Accountant you will work closely with the Head of Management Accounts, assisting them to gather information for, process and prepare the 13 period management accounts. Additional tasks include period end balance sheet reconciliations and year end reconciliations. As Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will be: Gathering information for and preparing individual management accounts for all sites. Preparing supplementary information to support the figures and help the review of the management accounts. Chasing up sites for period end information including stock counts and paperwork. Preparing accurate and complete journals for the periodic managements accounts, and reviewing for accruals, capex and any other adjustments. Maintaining and review the release of monthly/quarterly/annual prepaid costs across the 13 period accounting year. Reviewing the management accounts prior to the FC and CFO review to help their review and assisting with updating the accounts model. Dealing with site queries and adjustments. Communicating with site staff in a clear and concise manner, for non-finance staff to understand, and talking them through queries where necessary. Developing a good understanding of activities at a site level and knowledge of performance to develop relationships with site and operational staff to be able to deal with site-specific queries. Overseeing the work of the management accounts assistant, developing their knowledge and ensuring they're supporting the team, with work being appropriately delegated and reviewed. Work with the Head of Management Accounts and the FC to reduce the turnaround time of the management accounts. Other ad hoc tasks include the calculation of quarterly performance bonuses for site staff and managing the sites' utility costs. Preferred Skills Part-qualified for CIMA, or equivalent. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong Excel skills A strong desire to move into, and a good knowledge of, the hospitality industry A strong team attitude, work ethic and a keen eye for detail.
