Due to continued success, a well respected organisation near Caerphilly are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their busy team. The organisation has strong values and their aim is to make a positive impact through their work. The Finance Officer role forms part of a well defined team, reporting into the Finance Manager and responsible for one specific, ongoing project. Finance Officer duties Contribute to the development and delivery of finance process improvements. Prepare the VAT returns. Input into the project quarterly reports. Facilitate monthly staff expenses payments. Act as main liaison in relation to audit requirements. Review all transactions with reference to eligibility rules. Prepare, reconcile and submit claims in a timely manner. Raising claims and reconciling accounts. Finance Officer Person Specification AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified. Experience of preparing grant claims. Reconciliation of financial records. Experience with Sage or accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and meticulous work style. An excellent opportunity for a suitable experienced candidate to be part of a rewarding organisation. Applicants will have experience as an Assistant Accountant, Project Accountant etc with exposure to grant applications and regulations.
