Job title : Junior Accountant Location : Radlett, Hertfordshire Salary : £28000 - £32000 per annum Employment type : Full time We are a rapidly growing company which is looking to fill the above role. This is primarily to support the Finance team with the processing of financial information up to and including management accounts The prospects for progression are excellent for somebody willing to make the most of opportunities by taking an active role in the department The role is 37.5 hours a week and reports to the Management Accountant in the first instance. Key Responsibilities include:
• Purchase ledger processing
• Sales ledger processing
• Project costing. Monitor and report on project profitability.
• Bank reconciliations including multi-currency accounts, reconciliation of invoice discounting statement, assist with management of cash flow and posting of petty cash.
• Journal processing
• Payment processing
• Production administration, progressing orders and updating production systems
• Managing processing of Expenses for US team
• Initially supporting the team in the preparation of US monthly accounts. Then working rapidly towards taking ownership of this task.
• Be point of contact for US team regarding day to day financial transactions.
• Knowledge of SAGE Line 50 is essential and Xero would be a distinct advantage. Skills and Attributes Required:
• Must be able to demonstrate at least 2 years' experience at ledger clerk level / bookkeeper or above.
• Must have experience of working in a busy finance department
• Must have experience of using SAGE Line 50. Knowledge of Xero an advantage
• Must be reliable and have excellent time keeping.
• Must be organised and able to work without supervision at times and to tight deadlines.
• Should be able to contribute to the delivery of the overall finance strategy both by implementation and by contribution to the challenge resolution.
• Must have intermediate or above Microsoft Excel skills.
