Accounts Assistant £23,500 per annum Watford, Herts The Company Our Client is in the skin business, bringing tomorrow's skin technology to medical professionals in the fields of dermatology, aesthetics, cosmetic and plastic surgery, as well as to GPs with a special interest in skin. They talk every day with healthcare professionals, service providers, procurement and commissioning teams - both in the NHS and the private sector. With roots in medicine, technology and biology, they are experts when it comes to the skin and supply a wide range of innovative products: from sutures and skin adhesives to full-body-imaging and personalised cosmeceuticals. Overview of the role This is a "hands on" Financial Accounts Assistant role which focuses on all aspects of the day to day finance operations. This role will report in to and work within the wider commercial team and perform an integral role in bringing success to the business. Supporting the Finance Controller in duties that will enable you to understand the future potential for the business, whilst maintaining control and a view on the current position and overheads in the business. Key daily focus
• Bank reconciliation
• Reserve Account Reconciliation
• PayPal Reconciliation
• Credit card reconciliations
• Credit control and managing the Aged Debtors List.
• Allocate and resolve queries of customers to reduce unallocated Aged Debtors list
• Posting supplier payments
• Filing paid stock and non-stock supplier invoices
• Helping to enter staff expenses
• Send remittance advices,
• Posting Direct debit payments
• Raising Credit Notes
• Opening and distributing Post
• Dealing with customer queries
• General accounts administrative duties Competencies and skills Competencies are underlying characteristics that lead to superior performance in an individual's job. What is expected from you: The ability to be analytical: You will be required to b e analytical in nature in order to examine data and highlight trends. You must be able to identify and define problems, extract key information from data and develop workable solutions for the problems identified. The ability to work with computer software: You are expected to be have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. You will have the knowledge of computer systems and the ability to work with word processing, data management, and spreadsheet and data analysis programs. The ability to have attention to detail : You are expected to focus on attention to detail and have a logical approach to problem solving. Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. You will be able to monitor and check information to plan and organise time and resources efficiently.
