Business Analyst | Nottingham | £35k | Permanent Xpertise have been appointed to find a strong, experienced Business Analyst for our FTSE 50 Financial Services client based in Nottingham. Role Description: The Business Analyst will be involved in a multitude of tasks and will be a key part in a number of business initiatives moving forward. To illustrate the role, specific responsibilities may include: Ownership and development of products and relationships with major clients in the financial services industry - for example, banks and price comparison sites. You will be the go-to person for insights on the performance of core services for our customers, including creating presentations and delivering the results. Structuring and completing ad-hoc analysis - e.g. into marketing efficiency of campaigns, or studies into credit risk biases. Leading the process of scoping business requirements for technical change, often in partnership with our clients. You will have the opportunity to shape the success of the business area by training and mentoring our pool of graduate business analysts. Candidate attributes: We are looking for an exceptional candidate - an experienced Business Analyst with a strong analytical mind as well as: Strong university degree, ideally with numerical or analytical component Good computer based skills, preferably with experience in SAS, SQL, Excel or similar analytical tools Genuine interest in data and strong ability for analytical problem solving. A passion for being a team player, sharing new ideas and getting involved. Agility to respond in a fast-paced environment and maintain professional demeanour under pressure. Ability to communicate with clients and partners Ability to work to your own initiative and challenge stakeholders.
