iMultiply are delighted to supporting an emerging brand with the appointment of its first Financial Controller based in Edinburgh paying £40,000 - £50,000. The Company This emerging e-commerce/tech business has taken the market by storm due to its disruptive nature. The company has plans to rapidly expand both locally and internationally with the Financial Controller being a key appointment in its business plan to achieve its strategic goals and objectives. The Role The position of Financial Controller will report to the COO with a dotted line to the CEO. The role is designed to improve financial controls, reduce risks whilst supplying the leadership team with better visibility of KPI's and financial matrix's to aid decision making and strategical planning. To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a qualified Accountant that ideally has exposure within an early stage or start-up business, worst case an SME. Due to the businesses exciting growth plans, it is a realistic possibility the Financial Controller could become the Finance Director within the nondistant future. On Offer The role of Financial Controller will offer a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus a competitive benefits package. The office premises are based in Edinburgh city centre and easily accessible via public transport. You will be involved but not restricted to the following duties: Reporting to the COO with a dotted line to the CEO Managing a small finance team Aiding the leadership team with strategic planning and supporting business critical projects Creation, production and presentation of monthly reporting & Board packs Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts KPI setting and monitoring Budget setting and monitoring Short, medium and long-term forecasting Creating, reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls Management and adhoc reporting Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet Overseeing month-end and transactional processing Reviewing and developing systems and financial software Adhoc duties To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ICAS/ICAEW Early stage or start-up experience would be advantageous but SME exposure is acceptable Ability to engage and influence internal & external stakeholders Experience of financial systems such as Xero or Sage Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact John Gilbertson for a private & confidential discussion regarding this excellent opportunity.
