Responsibilities:
Managing and dealing with staff matters including:Ad hoc staff queries and advice Delegate work to staff and allocate brief to supervisors / line managers as and when required. Train seniors / supervisors where applicable Maintaining and reviewing jobs that have been allocated to staff by meeting with supervisors every week to ensure that the relevant deadlines and budgets are met. Reviewing WIP and debtors ledger with supervisors / staff on a monthly basis. Be responsible for overseeing the partner's client portfolio to ensure that the firm's filing obligation for clients are undertaken on a timely basis. These include; personal tax, VAT, bookkeeping preparation (relating to Companies, Partnerships, LLP's and sole traders), completion of personal and partnership tax returns, PllD returns as well as any other special assignments and/or ad-hoc projects as required by the partner. Being able to undertake fee proposals for new clients and identify selling opportunities. Being able to meet prospective clients and also pick up new enquiries that are received. Undertake the management of one pension scheme on behalf of the firm including liaison with all parties involved. Undertake tax planning for both personal and corporate clients. Be able to write reports and memos in respect of tax advice that will need to be provided to clients. Be able to review business plans and forecasts to support immigration applications. Undertaking final review of accounts and discussing with clients. Undertaking review of tax returns and discussing with clients. Approving client packs for secretary to publish to clients. Undertaking presentations locally and at international conferences / networking events. Ensure IRIS, Practice Management and practice systems are kept up to date. Management of team of 4 staff before a replacement for supervisor is secured Identify risk matters Be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills. Communicating and meeting with clients as and when required. Ability to undertake work independently and bring new ideas to the practice. Other: Attend CPD courses or other professional courses as required by the firm. Be able to work well both as part of a team and also unsupervised. Be prepared to travel when required.
