The role of Head of Finance is new to the business and is based on the need for Finance to commercially support decision making within the business. You will undertake a thorough review of your team and all areas of the business so as to develop a new model, fully supportive of business decision making, challenging and advising, based on evidence derived from analysis of the numbers. You will support the MD in shaping and developing the strategy, manage external suppliers and maintain the relationship with investors. Whilst your value in this role will be in your commercial support of the Managing Director, this is a small company and you will also be responsible for your team and the day to day mechanics of Finance meaning you will be hands on and responsible for the detail too. The role of Head of Finance: To provide financial support to the Board of Directors and Management team; Preparation and production of: o Leading your team x 4/5 o Management information & statutory information o Costings for new bids and quotes o Liaison and negotiation with clients on pricing and renewals o Day to day banking relationships, compliance management, cash flow balances and forecast o Maintaining an oversight of all Project budgets and budgetary control o Maintaining an oversight and ensuring integrity of the management of balance sheet accounts o Manage the company's currency exposure. o Year-end audit process, Corporation Tax management Advice and input to: o Long term business plans o Review and associated activity in relation to potential acquisitions (M&A) (fund raising, due diligence, integration) o International expansion o Ongoing costing/finance improvements and business process development o Training and financial education of staff to cover costings, project budgets, cost control and asset management o Management and mentorship to your team This is a business with momentum.
