This is an exciting role working in a successful, well known retail brand that continually delivers year after year sales growth. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual who enjoys the pace of a fast moving listed business. This is a traditional FP&A role that reports directly to the Finance Director but will also have regular interaction with the CFO and other exec members. They are looking for an individual with previous FP&A experience that enjoys leading the financial planning and budgeting cycles, that has strong commercial and operational knowledge, and shows curiosity and proactivity to seek ways to add business value. responsibilities:
To lead the FP&A team, who provide a key link between the various business partnering teams across the business, co-ordinating budgets, forecasts and 5 year strategic plans as well as delivering corporate reporting and clarity of performance. You will be responsible for the leadership, coaching and development of a small team but this role also requires the skill to indirectly influence across the other business partnering teams. This will include the review of team deliverables, performance reviews, objective setting, talent development and succession planning. To ensure that the Finance Director and relevant Exec board members have clarity of financial performance and both a short and long term view of pertinent issues and any material risks and opportunities for the business. This team is responsible for investor relations activity ,trading quarterly results, Q&A for announcements, consensus and liaising with potential investors to answer key questions. The person also needs to be dynamic to deliver timely responses on ad hoc analytical support to the CEO, CFO and the senior executive team. What you will need to have for this role: 5 years plus PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) An excellent communicator, with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels across the business Ability to lead, operate and influence effectively at Board level Assertive, self motivated, challenging and confident with strong inter-personal skills required to operate across a large, complex environment Ability to adapt to change quickly and priorities multiple demands Strong commercial and operational acumen Attention to detail and 'right first time' attitude Strong leadership skills with history of developing and motivating teams Evidence of using business partnership skills to force collaboration and drive performance
