£32.00ph - £33.00ph Umbrella A role has arisen within an Essex based Local Authority, for an individual with proven experience to join a lovely Accounts team. The Financial Accountant will be an essential part of the team, as they will be responsible for the treasury functions of the Council (ie/ provision of management information and managing daily cashflows). This role will be for 3 months (covering secondment). About the Role Accurate and timely production of the annual Statement of Accounts HRA and Housing General Fund revenue and capital accounting Transmission of the Council's BACS files Allocating all the Council income (including reconciliation to underlying records) VAT, IFRS and Collection Fund Regulatory budgetary control Policy, strategy and delivery (in relation to Treasury Management) About You Experience within a similar role for a Local Authority In-depth knowledge of local government finance and general local government procedures Track record of improving the quality of service to customers Able to cope with organisational and personal pressure Experience with Treasury, VAT, Capital Accounting, Collection Fund (Essential) If you have previous experience as a Financial Accountant, within a Local Authority, and are looking for your next move, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
