Orka Financial is working with a US listed $1Bn turnover business that offers a great working environment to recruit a Payroll Manager. The role will be based at the UK HQ in Maidenhead, which is a busy, fun place to work where the values of the brand are lived every day. Responsible for overseeing the payroll processing you will aim to provide an efficient quality payroll service. You will be expected to identify, implement and promote change and process improvement whilst demonstrating excellent leadership skills and customer service. It is essential to have previous payroll management experience. This role would suit an individual with a proven track record of working with high volume payrolls and SLA's. Responsibilities:

• Management of relationship with external payroll provider including issue resolution and management of KPI's.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely payment of multiple payrolls for our 1,200 staff
• Management of a payroll team ensuring that they are adequately trained and that their work is both timely and accurate
• Ensuring all key performance targets are met
• Ensuring that performance management procedures are fully implemented. This includes annual reviews, half-yearly reviews and 1:1s.
• Keeping abreast of all developments and legislation surrounding payroll, pensions and benefits. Ensuring all legislation is implemented and adhered to. Liaising with IT where necessary to ensure system changes are implemented.
• Oversee the year-end procedures ensuring the preparation and distribution of the P35's, P60's and P11D's
• Work with our US parent on stock option reporting and file the form 42.
• Responsible for resolving all pay queries and correction of errors
• Responsible for ensuring all statutory and voluntary payroll deductions are paid to appropriate bodies in timely manner
• Dealing with HMRC, providing all information required and resolving queries as requested.
• Reconciliations of payroll figures including processing of journals and ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are performed monthly
• Identify and implement service efficiency improvements
• Through key stakeholder engagement, develop and deliver new reports designed to monitor business performance and controls. Minimising fraud and losses.
• Develop relationships with Area Service Manager, Regional Managers, HR and Financial accounting team to escalate and resolve any issues relating to non compliance to company processes and procedures
• Drive system improvements o System designs and solutions o Automation of processes to remove manual touch points
• Continuously seek process improvements
• Implement any changes required as the result of any changes to the UK meetings business model Profile:
• Professional Payroll Qualification (IPP) or QBE
• Oracle Experience
• Highly analytical
• Minimum 5 years management experience
• Experience in high volume, cash based environment
• Proven track record of project and change management
• Previous experience of handling large volumes of data
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven people management experience

Salary:
£50,000 - £60,000 bonus benefits
