My client, an ambitious creative media company based in Central London are seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller to join the company at a very exciting time in its growth. This fast-growing SME already has a strong presence in its market and has ambitious plans to grow. This newly created role is designed to support the CFO and to take on the existing duties in supporting the Company's financial and business strategies. You'll be the number one in finance, looking to develop quickly within an agile business. This role will have a clear route for career progression in line with the business growth. Key Duties Formulate and evaluate strategic plans, budgets and forecasts for the entire business within set timelines Produce weekly and bi-weekly reporting on sales pipeline and revenue outlook Analyse Job profits / p&L and track the contribution, prepare the outcome to monthly Job reports Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries Prepare monthly Board packs Liaise with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context Continually adapt and improve management reporting and KPIs to meet the needs of the business and management team Consolidating and reviewing the monthly management accounts Form strong relationships with the Executive team and Board members along with product, services and sales & marketing divisions to provide reliable, stable revenue and cost forecasts from planning and pipeline data VAT Returns for the UK and Overseas Raising sales Invoices for clients; liaising with external accounts departments to obtain POs and logging all payments received in Xero. Processing supplier Invoices and allocating to the correct cost code and project code. Scheduling and processing all project and office-based payments using online banking, whilst keeping a close eye on cash flow. Experience Fully Qualified(ACCA/CIMA/ACA), Part-qualifed or demonstrated qualified by experience Effective time management skills and ability to work consistently to set deadlines Bring a level of gravitas to the finance function and its interaction with the board Hands-on experience of leading the finance function in a SME Due to the large numbers of responses we receive, despite our best efforts it is not possible to respond to every application.
