The Role An opportunity exists to join Venator at their global headquarters in Wynyard, England. The Corporate Internal Auditor will play a key role assisting in execution and follow-up of financial and operational audits performed at Venator. The role has a global mandate, but will focus primarily on Venator's European footprint. Core responsibilities will include: Manage the full audit cycle working with management at each site. Take part in the preparation, performance and follow up of audits to assess risk, test controls and provide advisory services as set out by Internal Audit Management. Add value to both the business and the Internal Audit function through identifying risks to the company and improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls. Perform periodic control reviews within various operational and financial processes and determine adequacy and effectiveness of internal procedures and controls. Identify and report on control weaknesses and assist management in taking corrective actions. Liaison with multiple stakeholders to deliver high quality and actionable insight and analysis. Assist in special investigations and unplanned audits and value-added services as required by the Internal Audit Manager. The Person With a strong understanding of audit processes and principles you will have: Experience, ideally 3 years, from either a practice background or from a large-scale organisation and exposure to a broad range of tasks within your mandate. There is no pre-requisite for academic pedigree, with more emphasis placed on the experience of the individual, although a degree or professional qualification would be preferred. Technical knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is highly sought but not essential. Given the site footprint coverage, there will be up to 30% international travel, centered mainly in Europe but with occasional trips further afield. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with comfort communicating with and presenting to leadership and senior management.
