Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a very well-respected organization, with offices in both West and East Sussex. The main purpose of the role will be to partner with the head of the business to evaluate capital investment projects and drive the cost transformation projects for this area. The role holder will take responsibility for challenging financial information and drive cost reduction programmes. Some of the main accountabilities include: Responsible for the financial data, both current and future costs and revenues, identifying synergies and efficiency opportunities, creating budgets, forecasts, business plans and regulatory price review submissions and preparing internal reports which are used to make business planning decisions. Maximising operational performance across the whole business in the current and following regulatory review period Ability to use professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls. The successful candidate will be fully qualified accountant and possess the confidence and gravitas to challenge and influence senior stakeholders, together with the ability to think through the numbers and communicate effectively the interpretation of key issues. In addition, a proven track record in a similar role, ideally gained within a regulated sector or from a large company background, is essential together with outstanding communication skills and the ability to drive behaviour change. Previous experience of capital contracts and commercial negotiations will prove to be advantageous as would good working knowledge of SAP.
