Ideally suited for someone who is new to accounting and finance, someone who perhaps works in an accounts department but wants to gain a qualification or enhance their foundation knowledge and skills or someone who is looking to change their career. Duties to include: Production of accounts to (trial balance) and VAT returns from prime records Using excel to list out invoice/payments and to undertake bank reconciliations Enter information onto Xero and Sage accounts packages To start the learning process to become a qualified accountant & once competence is reached in particular area there will be opportunities do more technical work Top five skills you'll gain: Effective business communication skills including letters, memos and informal reports Processing payments and receipts Preparing invoices Completing bank reconciliations Using accounting software Requirements and prospects Desired skills Must have good skills in MS Excel & Word Good numeracy skills Good communication skills Personal qualities Has the ability to learn Self-motivated Desired qualifications A Levels grades A-C ideally in a Science related subject but not essential GCSE'S grades A-C (8-4) including maths and English or equivalent Future prospects The successful candidate will progress to AAT qualified and possible ICAEW qualification Things to consider Benefits include 28 days including bank holidays.
