Crick £Competitive Salary Excellent Company Benefits We have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Accountant based out of our P&H Head Office in Crick. Reporting into the Chief Accountant, this is a critical role within the within Financial Planning and Control team where you will be responsible for the preparation of accurate, high quality internal and external financial information which complies with the business's accounting policies and applicable accounting standards. Your key accountabilities will include: Production of the individual entity financial statements for the Plumbing & Heating companies in line with applicable accounting standards. Preparation of the monthly consolidation, supporting the Central Finance Manager with the process, associated controls and documentation. Taking ownership of specific areas of the consolidation. Supporting the Tax and Treasury Manager with the preparation of cash flow forecasting and monitoring of performance against the forecasts. Responsible for implementing and improving the business's statutory accounts and month end processes. Working with stakeholders from across the wider finance team and to identify efficiencies and improvements to the business's information and processes used to ensure accurate and timely external reporting of the Plumbing & Heating companies. Responsible for managing the external audit process of for the Plumbing & Heating companies with the business's auditors. Responsible for leading the balance sheet control process across the Plumbing & Heating businesses. This will include designing reconciliation and providing training on how they are prepared to the wider Finance team. Accountable for other mandatory external reporting for the Plumbing & Heating companies including industry specific surveys. Accounting support on ad hoc projects as required e.g. implementation of new accounting standard/M&A activity. To be considered for this role, you'll need to be a qualified accountant (preferably ACA). You will need to have experience of working for the big 4 with a proven record of success and experience of working with large businesses. You'll also need to have knowledge and a clear understanding of consolidation accounting, IFRS, FRS 102 and audit project management. You'll need to be highly confident, an excellent communicator and be able to work under pressure.
