ABOUT THE ROLE As a Capital Assistant (Maternity Cover) at Barchester, you'll help us to monitor the process that keeps things running smoothly at our organisation. As part of the Capital team, we'll look to you to manage our capex and major revenue requests in good time - all while making sure you follow the correct process with the right authorisation. Day-to-day, that means you could be keeping track of open capex requests and their progress, processing capital invoices on our accounting system (CODA) ensuring they are approved and paid on time. In this role, you'll also be dealing with any internal and external queries about the capex, capital invoices or major revenue requests that come your way. Although this is a temporary role, you'll be a real part of our team with all the support you need. As a Capital Assistant, your skills will make a real difference to people across our organisation - both our staff and customers. ABOUT YOU To join us as a Capital Assistant, you'll need basic knowledge of accounts and accounting systems, although a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in accounts would give you an advantage. We'll also look for an understanding of the operation of budgets, ideally from previous experience in an accounts department but this isn't essential. You'll be a self-motivated individual with strong organisation, communication, time management and computer skills. Good working knowledge of Miscrosoft Excel is essential. REWARDS PACKAGE As well as a competitive salary, we can offer you impressive benefits which would include: a contribution pension scheme, and free training and development. You'll also have plenty of opportunity to grow your career in a large organisation with a warm and supportive environment. If you'd like to use your organisational and people skills in an organisation that provides the quality care you'd expect for your loved ones, this is an empowering and rewarding place to be.
