Catalyst is currently working with a large, highly respected, independent chartered accountancy practice seeking a highly ambitious Corporate Finance Manager to join its dynamic, award-winning CF team, with the clear aim to progress to owner/partnership. With definite succession opportunities, this is an excellent time to join this prestigious, North East firm. Working closely with a highly progressive and experienced Corporate Finance Partner who is delivering superb growth, working mainly with owner managed firms in the £5m-£100m range, you will handle all aspects of transactions with key responsibilities including:
• Researching market conditions and developments
• Conducting investigations into the financial and commercial health of companies, giving consideration to particular transactions
• Carrying out financial modelling, then developing and presenting appropriate financial solutions
• Providing advice on capital structure
• Project managing transactions, negotiating terms and developing proposals to raise funds
• Providing instructions to other colleagues and professionals, such as lawyers
• Publishing financial announcements
• Restructuring debt
• Ensuring all the regulatory aspects of a transaction have been considered
• Undertaking company due diligence You will need:
• A strong track record in Corporate Finance, ideally gained in accountancy practice, a Corporate Finance boutique, bank or law firm, managing transactions and people. Candidates with suitable Accounts/Finance/Practice background, a real appreciation of Corporate Finance and strong desire to work in the field long term will also be considered.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent - CISI, ACT, IMC and similar advantageous - preferably with strong academics
• Outstanding relationship building, communication and management skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Exceptional financial modelling and numerical skills
• A high standard of commercial and economic awareness
• Confident negotiator
• First class levels of energy and commitment
