• Ensuring timely month management reporting
• Review and commentary for the monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Implementation of robust internal control environment, in line with the requirements of a FTSE100 business and appropriate to the size of the business, including full month-end close, reconciliation, review and approval processes
• Development and maintenance of the company's risk register
• Commercial support as the business looks to achieve significant post acquisition growth targets
• Setting up a finance structure that is scalable for the future growth trajectory
• Supporting the development of a part-qualified accountant and looking to expand the team over time as required
• Assisting or leading commercial contract negotiations in particular in relation to cost areas
• Driving finance process and system improvements As Finance Manager you will need:
• Solid, progressive experience, ideally gained in similar well-rounded, Finance Manager, Accounts Supervisor, Management Accountant or Financial Accountant type role

• Knowledge of insurance broking and/or other FCA reporting and compliance requirements also advantageous
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of Xero accounting system useful but not essential
• Flexibility to travel to parent offices - approx. one day per month Please note: High levels of interest mean we will only contact you if your application is shortlisted and this will happen within five working days. You must also be eligible to work in the UK.
