Employment Tax Advisor - Travel Company - Luton - £55,000-£70,000 20% bonus Robert Walters are hiring for an Employment Tax Advisor for a leading international travel company based in Luton. This is a permanent role which can be considered on either a 4 day per week or on a full-time basis. There is flexible working on offer including the ability to work from home. The role comes with a salary of circa £55k-£70k 20% bonus and a fantastic benefits package. The Employment Tax Advisor will work as part of a highly-reputed in-house tax team and will be responsible for employment tax matters of the group in the UK and across Europe, including leading Group Tax's IR35 project. This is a predominantly advisory and projects based role with a minimal amount of compliance work. As such this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong employment tax experience who is looking for an interesting in-house employment tax role with plenty of development and progression opportunities. Responsibilities include: Advisory/Business Partnering- Partnering with Reward team colleagues to support the implementation of a flexible benefits system in one of our EU locations and advising payroll on the tax and social security treatment of the new pay elements to be created; working with external advisers to ensure our international tax guides in respect of employee share plans are up-to-date and advising the business where changes could be made to improve tax efficiencies; reviewing the compliance requirements associated with the provision of particular staff benefits and ensuring reporting processes are fit for purpose. Project Work Lead for Group Tax on our IR35 project, to ensure that we are able to deliver on our existing project plan by April 2020. Understanding of the practical application of the IR35 rules in a business context will be an important requirement for this role. Project management of the IR35 off-payroll worker project will include tasks such as: ensuring business stakeholders are fully briefed on the impact of the new rules; working with external advisers and business stakeholders to design and implement the systems and processes required to fully manage our IR35 risk; completing employment status assessments for any impacted workers; and engaging with them and their respective line managers to explain how the rules will impact their position. Compliance UK compliance tasks will include working with payroll to ensure timely and accurate P11D(b) submissions, preparing our PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA), and preparing our Short Term Business Visitor reports.
