A local manufacturing company in Quedgeley are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger to join their well-established finance team. This opportunity would suit someone who is studying AAT and has experience of working in a finance team previously. To be successful, you will have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn. This will be a stand alone role initially, so it is really key to have solid purchase ledger experience so that you can take ownership of the function. If you have experience in Accounts Payable and are looking for the next step in your career, this is definitely for you Key Responsibilities; Invoice coding and processing Preparing weekly, monthly, payment runs in line with agreed supplier terms Dealing with invoice queries - both internally and externally Supplier statement reconciliations Preparation of month end reports Ensure all invoices are archived correctly New supplier account set up Monitoring of the OCR mailbox Candidate Attributes; Previous Accounts Payable experience A good working knowledge of VAT Good telephone manner Knowledge of Sage Software would be advantageous but not essential Microsoft Excel The ability to prioritise own workload & multitask If you are interested in this position, or you know someone who is, please give Hara Duberley a call on 07787251488 or hit APPLY
