Position Overview The post holder will report directly to the Analyst Lead or Finance Lead and provide a Financial and Management Accounting service to the Asset Management team. This will involve the Annual Internal Plan, monthly Financial Reporting on Opex, Capex and Abex Reforecasts, AFEs and Cost Reporting & Forecasting. The role will involve working closely with Operations, Decommissioning, and Finance & Planning groups to compile the current year Reforecasts and the Life of Field Plans. The incumbent will be responsible for Assets G & A and will support AFE management and reporting. Accountabilities Act as first point of contact for accounting support to the Asset. Ensure appropriate guidance on accounting and financial reporting treatment Ensure compliance with financial processes Drive standardisation, simplification and automation of accounting and reporting, working closely with the other Asset Accountants Developing and maintaining a close relationship with the Bangalore JV Finance team Key Duties Support the compilation, preparation and modelling of the Internal Reforecasts and Internal Life of Field Plan (Opex and Capex) Support the preparation of the Annual Internal Budgets and Joint Venture Partner Budgets for Capex and Opex including Transportation and Cost Shares Provide monthly and quarterly variance commentary to Corporate reporting Support the Business in the preparation and administration of Internal and Partner AFEs Provide variance commentary on the AFE Sanction Report for input to FM and AFE Control Reports on a monthly basis. Include latest comments on AFE status and progress AFE approval as appropriate Provide support to BA re financial inputs for the monthly Performance Scorecards Coordinate update of monthly cost tracker for cost codes with Bangalore Team for actuals and forecast in line with timetable Ensure forecasts and phasings are in line with Asset Activity Plans (MTAPs) Build strong relationships with the Asset team through regular communication. Hold monthly meetings to support and ensure the PRE, the Operations/Asset Manager fully understand the VOWD and the Full Year Forecast for the cost codes within your area of responsibility. Be proactive, highlight any improvements to processes or financial output and raise any issues early to ensure there are no surprises Work with the Cost Analyst to ensure monthly accruals are accurate and reflect true VOWD Coordinate monthly update of G & A headcount submissions. Maintain cost tracker, update Infocore forecasts and issue monthly G & A report Support Offshore Audit Coordinator with the coordination of Joint Venture Partner Audits Support monthly cost forecast update in Infocore. Challenge forecasts, monitor PY accruals and understand the outcome. Maintain accuracy and robustness of cost forecasts. Check and deliver in line with the system timetable. Run and issue Early Warning Reports Ensure monthly accruals are accurate, reflect true VOWD and align with Asset Activity Plans (MTAP) Work closely with Supply Chain Management to ensure commitments are valid, they are included in the annual Budget and the cost codes are correct Deliver systems / process training in relation to Infocore, DFM, FAL, ATT and other financial related systems and processes Develop in depth knowledge of SAP modules and processes Undertake any adhoc requests as required by the Finance Asset Lead Assist in Cost Accountant duties and deliverables as required. Assist in other Asset areas as required Education Attainment & Accreditation Ideally the candidate should be a qualified accountant or experienced accountant with oil and gas industry experience in a financial/commercial environment Professional Skills & Experience Experience in an oil and gas environment strongly preferred Strong aptitude for numbers and analysis combined with strong excel skills Strong PowerPoint and presenting skills Proven track record of working well in a fast paced team environment
