Our client based on the outskirts of Woking are looking for a Finance & Accounts Manager to join their busy team. Reporting to HR & a Finance Director, responsibilities will include: Process payments through Sage Accounts Sub-contractor invoices - processing Monthly CIS Reports Remittances - confirming receipts & allocating to customer accounts both on Clik Management System and Sage Oversee all company accounts Manage all accounting operations, day-to-day bookkeeping activities purchase ledger, sales ledger, nominal ledger and asset register Reconcile bank and Credit Card statements Authorise BACS payments Process expenses Administer payroll, auto enrolment pensions, P11Ds and P60s Vehicle administration & recording of monthly mileage Supplier Payment Run (Monthly) Administer rent and rates Prepare VAT returns Liaise with the bank on day-to-day issues and to maintain a proactive relationship with the bank Project costing Monitor income accruals and stage payment analysis Research technical accounting issues for compliance Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Administer any company legal Issues except those specifically handled by external legal counsel Year End Accounts Reporting Statutory Reporting to Companies House Report sales and account development data in the monthly management report Produce the monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and Cashflow forecast Produce ad hoc reports and management data Sales Invoicing Raising and managing sales invoices Ensure prompt payment of sales invoices Credit Control Monitoring credit ratings of customers Chase payment, taking action as necessary Purchasing Approve the payment of Invoices Company Support Office leases Office and general commercial insurance Professional indemnity and public insurance Equipment leases Conduct rent and rate negotiations Managing fixed assets Skills & Experience Honesty; integrity; reliability; confidentiality Organised and can work to strict deadlines Numerically accurate Fantastic attention to detail Can work on own initiative Great verbal and written communicator with strong interpersonal skills Experience of working in an agency environment or on a wide variety of projects Competent technical and IT skills Critical thinker Problem-solver Research skills; analytical skills Understanding of data privacy standards Finance and Administration Specific (essential) Experience in commercial finance function AAT qualified or qualified by experience Prepared management accounts - liaison with auditors for statutory accounting Sage Line 50 professional experience including payroll management VAT returns experience Identifying results, trends, and financial forecasts Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported Ensuring financial reporting systems comply with government regulations and legislation Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations Reviewing all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies Creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations Presenting reports to directors Desirable Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing MTD aware If you have not been contacted within 5 working days, then unfortunately on this occasion your CV has not been shortlisted.
