Group Accountant - Nottingham - £45,000 - £65,000 Chase and Holland are proud to be working closely with a fast-growing business on the outskirts of Nottingham. After substantial growth and a number of recent acquisitions, they are keen to recruit a technical accountant who will look after the Financial Accounting and Consolidating for the group in what is a great newly created role. Reporting directly to the Group FC this person will have license to drive change and improvement and need to be comfortable to challenge and suggest how. Group Accountant
Responsibilities:
Reporting of group consolidated financials including balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements Working with the wider finance team to ensure consistency in reporting Working closely with the M&A team to ensure future acquisitions are correctly accounted for & integrated into the group correctly Supporting the Group FC with ad hoc projects when required Process improvement and developing effective group accounting policies Working with the Group FC to implement policy changes and driving streamlining the consistency across the group subsidiaries Key Skills and Requirements: ACA, ACCA or CIMA fully qualified Accountant (or equivalent) Experience of group consolidation, ideally in a fast paced medium to large business Experience of mergers and / or acquisitions would be a distinct advantage Excellent technical knowledge of accounting Confidence liaising with senior internal and external stakeholders A proactive approach to work and the drive to progress Flexibility to travel to sites UK wide, with a small amount of international travel This is a permanent, full-time position paying up to £65,000, this may be stretched for the right candidate ticking all the boxes.
