About the Role You'll play a key role in the department, planning, supervising and reviewing audit work for a wide range of clients. You will also manage a number of Audit Managers and take active responsibility for Business Development activities. Key responsibilities include: Ensure a high level of client service - efficient and proactive, liaising with Partners and others internally to ensure everyone is kept up to date with relevant issues. Lead audit work and setting budgets - awareness of commercial aspects of clients' business and impact on practice workload. Arrangement of timetable, booking of staff, planning review and completion of audit and other related assignments. Manage the team - monitor workload and allocations of staff to ensure most efficient use of resources. Liaise with junior staff to assess any issues, support and encourage professional development. Take ownership of training, ensuring regular assessment and feedback and arranging appropriate training for team members. Business Development - prepare proposals, attend events, develop personal contacts, identify and develop opportunities. Client billing. The Successful Applicant You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) with strong practice based experience of providing Audit services to a wide variety of clients. The role is ideally suited to an experienced and ambitious Audit Manager. Requirements include: Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) Technical expert - able to ensure audit conducted to correct standards and that accounts preparation is accurate and meaningful for the type of industry. Able to answer staff and client technical queries and make technical decisions. Able to motivate and develop a dedicated, multi-skilled team to deliver exceptional service Commercially aware - demonstrable understanding of the commercial factors affecting clients and ability to monitor the commercial effectiveness of audit and assurance work Confident, professional and credible with clients Demonstrable ability to deliver business development Good working knowledge of skill requirements of staff at various levels Strong communication skills Demonstrable organizational skills Please be aware that by applying through this job board your CV will be added to their database.
