iMultiply are supporting a highly commercial business based in Fife with the appointment of a permanent Finance Business Partner. The Company A highly successful and commercial business that has evolved significantly over the past decade. The business has further plans for expansion which will be achieved through organic growth with mergers & acquisitions also likely to be on the cards within the near future. The Role The position of Finance Business Partner a fantastic new opportunity reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The Head of Finance has entered the business within the past few years and has now received executive approval to reshape the team to create a business partnering legacy to drive forward performance, efficiencies and modern the entire function. The Head of Finance is an extremely driven individual that has ambitions to reach the position of Finance Director which will only be achieved through successful execution of this vision and by having an internal successor to backfill their Head of Finance position. The role can be tailored to fit an individual ranging from finalist level (few exams remaining) to a few years post qualified. It's absolutely essential that the successful candidate has good management accounting experience, ideally coupled with budgeting & forecasting exposure but more importantly has an appetite to business partner with non-financial stakeholders to show that finance is a support function & not a hindrance. On Offer The position of Finance Business Partner will offer a salary of £40,000 - £48,000 plus a competitive benefits package. The offices are located close to Dalgety bay in Fife. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Reporting to the Head of Finance with ability to deputise in their absence Finance business partnering with non-financial stakeholders ranging from executives to administrators Preparation and presentation of monthly reporting packs Ability to provide in-depth and thorough commentary to influence strategic & commercial business decisions Variance analysis with ability to understand and challenge discrepancies Creating and reporting of KPI's Periodic and adhoc reporting & analysis Budget setting and monitoring Short, medium and long-term forecasting Ensuring a swift and efficient month-end close - balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments etc. Mentoring and overseeing transactional finance staff Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls Building relationships with various departments through-out the business Adhoc duties To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Finalist or qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACCA, ICAS or ICAEW Strong experience of management accounts preparation, ideally with budgeting & forecasting exposure Ability to interact, liaise and influence with non-financial stakeholders Intermediate to advanced user of Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact John Gilbertson for a private & confidential discussion.
