Senior Commercial Business Partner Permanent role Prenton, Wirral. An exciting role, leading a team of 3 analysts in the Commercial and Performance team. The role supports the business monitoring, forecasting and reporting on capital and operating expenditure and interacts with all areas of the business from Director level to Industrial Project Managers. The role requires someone with excellent communication skills who is happy liaising with all areas of the business and a wide variety of stakeholders to provide commercial support. The role requires a qualified accountant, with a passion for providing commercial analysis and support. You must have previous management or team leadership/mentorship experience. You will also have a passion for continuous improvement and process improvement as the organisation looks to redefine its culture and current processes. This will involve co-ordinating project business processes from inception to closure review and will be the focal point for the tracking of project and work-stream expenditure from design to closure. As a Business Analyst your work will focus on monitoring and challenging financial and non-financial performance to ensure business objectives are met. You will be responsible for the preparation and development of the reported results for all operating and capital costs, providing comprehensive analysis and commentary to the business. You will manage the regulatory reporting submissions, ensuring the business meets its regulatory commitments. Your tasks will include: Manage the preparation and development of the reported results, budgets and forecasts for all operating and capital costs, providing comprehensive analysis and commentary to the business Management Team Responsibility for the Regulatory Reporting submissions to ensure robust and accurate cost and volume information and take the lead for any queries and supporting analysis Review risks and sensitivities to current and future year targets. Deliver efficiencies through cost management and maximising our existing processes to full effect. Coach and support staff to ensure a motivated and effective analyst team. We are looking for individuals with demonstrable problem solving ability, with previous analyst experience. Someone numerically articulate and commercially aware with a strong attention to detail with the ability to assimilate a large amount of complex, interlinked data and to make balanced decisions based on that data. To be successful in this position you will need to bring with you: Fully Qualified Accountant Significant relevant experience in similar business/commercial analyst positions Experience of financial reporting within a regulated environment Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel Fully Competent in the use of Microsoft Word & Powerpoint Experience in a managerial role - Desirable This is an exciting organisation, with a strong commitment to be a supportive and inclusive place to work.
