Finance Officer (Maternity Cover) This is a full-time role, however we are happy to talk flexible/part-time working for a suitably qualified/experienced candidate. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly organised, biller, credit controller and payer to join our Finance & Resources team.Reporting to the Head of Finance and Resources, you will play an important role in ensuring that ICNARC's finances are managed effectively and in line with accounting principles and standards. This role is based in our office in Holborn, London. In this role you will: Bill our NHS customers for annual subscription and ad-hoc fees. Chase our debtors for outstanding payments. Process payments, including coding, to all our suppliers including the preparation of BACS payment runs. Process daily bank account receipts and payments and support the reconciliation of bank accounts to the general ledger at month and year-end. Support the preparation of year-end schedules for annual accounts and statutory audit. Contribute to the maintenance and update of procedures in the Finance Handbook. Support the office management as required. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed, it is essential that you have extensive experience in billing; experience in dealing with NHS customers; paying suppliers and processing bank transactions. You will be confident in the use of accounting packages and MS Excel and Word. We are a small Finance & Resources team so flexible working is essential to support the team. As the role is internal and external facing, excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Charity experience and studying towards or holding a part/full finance qualification is desirable.
