Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant who has the drive & ambition to progress their career. Working on some highprofile Projects within the Rail industry the Junior Accountant will assist the Financial Controller. The person: Educated to degree level or equivalent in Accountancy or a relevant subject Great attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Good financial awareness Good system knowledge Proficient with excel Highly driven, energetic, proactive and innovative A team player who is happy to work in an environment of mutual support The role: Bookkeeping and receipt analysis Produce timely and accurate financial reports. Preparing VAT returns Preparing year end accounts (with the support of Senior Manager) Analysis of receipts / Invoices Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers including payment of suppliers Assisting with the broader team Maintaining relationships with all major stakeholders Working across teams to ensure best practice is maintained
