GFO is at the heart of the Finance function - accountable to the AstraZeneca (AZ) Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes that enable our customers to focus on AZ's strategic priorities.Our processes cover record to report, purchase to pay and order to cash and we drive AZ's cash focus through disciplined management of supplier and customer payment terms and practices. GFO provides P2P/T&E process helpdesk services to internal AZ and external end users, including training support to internal AZ users.GFO operates globally through a combination of in-house captive and offshored business process outsourcing (BPO). The BPO element has been provided in partnership with our service provider partner Genpact since 2008. AZ Finance is part way through an ambitious, broad ranging, multi-year transformation programme, called Finance Transformation 1 (FT1) and undertaking plans for the next phase, FT2. FT plans for transactional process and technology improvements will underpin a next wave of GFO transformation and a step change in service effectiveness and efficiency.The role holder reports to the Global Credit Risk Manager and is responsible for the Global Credit Risk Management process such as; Initial Risk Assessments, Credit Limit reviews (scheduled & adhoc), master data adjustments, and Orders on Hold management. Primary measures include; financial reviews, exceptional performance within the order release process area, accurate credit limits maintenance for the circa 28,000 customer accounts in SAP and credit securities administration. The role holder will monitor performance and ensure remediation plans are formulated, agreed and efficiently executed where necessary. The role holder will enable and collaborate with the service provider to ensure the desired performance can be achieved and maintain a strong control environment.Accountabilities: Perform credit reviews for all assigned accounts according to the established schedule. Analyse and prepare credit recommendation based on the financial statement and ratio analysis, credit reference agency report, trade references, etc. to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit. In line with credit policyMonitor account status, credit alerts and communicate the findings if significant risk is identifiedManage team of analyst where requiredApprove credit limits sent by credit analystMaintain accurate and up to date customer credit master data details and account records.Analyse monthly credit risk report to ensure all account assigned with proper risk category, credit review performed before next review date mature and ensure all account have sufficient credit limit for utilisation.Collaborate closely with Customer Service Team, Sales Account Managers and financial controllers to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aware about risks involved.Review orders before manual release and escalate if any significant risk identified.Perform various tasks related to, and established for, handling transaction processing independently, including resolving complex queries and investigations in a timely manner.Review compliance to key controls as identified in the FCF/SOX documentation.Back up responsibilities of Team Lead during his/her absence.Point of escalation for credit risk, system, process and project advice where required and supporting with adhoc requestsAttending monthly reviewsRunning monthly reportReviewing doubtful debtYour essential qualifications: To have a comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting i.e. balance sheet, income statements and cash flow and any other relevant information to make decisions independent of credit reference agency scoresHave a strong understanding of B2B credit risk principlesAn understanding of and the ability to communicate credit issues to all levels of the organisation.Significant experience in B2B credit risk management.Knowledge and experience in SAPProvide great customer service and develop good relationships with both internal and external customers.
