My client, a well regarded technology business based in the WEST END (specifically EDGWARE ROAD), is seeking an accomplished ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT to join them on an interim basis for the next few months. There is a strong possibility that the role could go permanent for the right individual. This is a great time to join this business whilst they enter an exciting phase of growth DESCRIPTION A role has arisen for an Assistant Accountant looking for an opportunity to develop and get hands on experience of working in a Group company. This is an exciting and challenging role reporting into the Group Finance Manager in the London office. The will play a key role in supporting the Group finance team in ensuring banks are reconciled, purchase ledgers are reconciled, group intercompany invoicing and helping with the HQ management accounts. This is a hands on role within a small central finance team, working with our finance colleagues around the world. The successful candidate must be an effective communicator with the analytical skills to interpret complex data. THE ROLE Full Accounts Payable responsibility for the group entity, including invoice processing, intercompany invoice processing, statement reconciliations, supplier payments and maintaining supplier relationships Reconcile multi currency bank accounts (GBP, EUR, USD) and intercompany transfers/payments on a weekly basis Prepare consolidated group bank reconconciliations on a weekly basis Ensure employee expenses are reviewed, recorded and posted in a timely fashion and all rechargeable expenses are recharged monthly Responsible for intercompany invoicing, and reconciliations. Maintain accounting records, keeping them up to date Supporting the Group Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and coordination of monthly management accounts and year end processes. Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts (incl. Debtors, Creditors, Accruals, Prepayments, etc) on a monthly basis Maintaining monthly the fixed asset register for HQ. Reconciling and posting the credit cardSKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experienced Finance Assistant or Accounts Payable Clerk ideally with experience gained from working in a fast paced environment. Qualification is not a prerequisite, we are looking more for an intelligent individual who is eager to develop and learn with a can do attitude Familiar with manipulating and interpreting data Excellent verbal communication skills and can build effective working relationships with colleagues Experience of working in an unpredictable environment; can deal with unplanned changes to tasks and workloads and successfully handle several tasks at any one time Quick at learning new systems (advantage if used MS Navision)ATTITUDES Motivated, enthusiastic and has a positive attitude to work Excellent attention for detail, task driven, organised and has good problem solving skills Proactive and seeks to keep learning and challenge matters Takes pride in and ownership of their work Professional approach to successfully interact with colleagues / external suppliers and confident to articulate your views and influence peers Huntress Search Ltd does not discriminate on the grounds of 'protected characteristics' as defined under the Equality Act and other relevant UK legislation.
