In Tax, we have more then 50,000 people globally who help out clients understand and manage their tax compliance and reporting obligations responsibly and proactively. We help them amass, improve and monitor their tax function's processes, controls and risk management and maintain effective relationships with the tax authorities.Tax has seven sub-service lines which cover a wide range of issues: Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Global Law, Indirect Tax, International Tax Services , People Advisory Services and Transaction Tax.The opportunityFollowing the launch of the Global Tax Strategy refresh, a Global team is being created to drive the inorganic growth strategy, specifically covering strategic activity on Alliances.The team reports into the Global Tax Alliances and Acquisitions Leader. The team will require a proactive attitude to build and manage a portfolio of Alliances across Tax, focusing on the Tax Strategy's seven strategic priorities for growth. From helping the business explore the market for opportunities to scaling existing Alliances, the team will guide leaders of the firm through complexities of third part enabled business models to drive $1bn in inorganic revenues by 2022. The Global Tax Strategic Alliances Assistant Director role is for someone who can work effectively with EY Tax Leadership, client teams and EY's central Global Alliances functions to successfully activate our key SAP and Microsoft Alliances in addition to supporting the formation of new Alliance relationships. Your key responsibilitiesYou will work with Area and Sub-Service Line (SSL) Leadership and Alliance Leadership to define and execute on annual Alliance Strategy, metrics, go-to-market initiatives across Areas and Alliance solution development. The day-to-day responsibilities fall under two categories:Driving activation of specific Type 1 Alliances for TaxClose collaboration with Area and Alliances Leadership and client-serving teams to support the development and monitoring of annual Alliance strategies. This includes integrating Alliance targets into the firm revenue planning processes and sales and pipeline reportingDevelop a strong knowledge of our Alliance solutions (e.g. SAP Agile Tax) across Tax and support in the development, communication and training effort for our client serving teams to successfully sell in the market. Develop and maintain relationships with the Alliance company(s) alongside Alliance Leadership. Understand Alliance Partner needs and partnering drivers, manage and help ensure fulfilment of expectations, development and management of executive relationships, identify Alliance risk factors, and develop implement risk mitigation. Attend and annual Alliance Partner events. Collaborate with Alliance Innovation Leader and/or Offerings Leader(s) on new Alliance solution development and mapping of Alliance capabilities to existing offerings.Manage Alliance governance through reporting. Executive contact facilitation, results and operations review, and structured cadence with all stakeholders. Supporting the Area Tax business to navigate the Alliance formation processScreening of Alliance formation requests from the business. This includes developing business rationale and guiding the business on the process and potential investment (financial and time) required to form an Alliance.Working with enabling functions (Independence, GCO, Risk Management) on behalf of Tax when forming an Alliance or taking an Alliance from local to global activation. Acting as the key liaison with the firm's Global Alliances and Ecosystem team to ensure that we are continuously aligned on policy, strategy, specific Alliances processes etc. Supporting Alliance governance Forums including producing key business case packs for Leadership to review.
