Do you have demonstrable experience of credit control and the reconciliation of sales ledger and cash books and want to make a difference? For thirty years, Stonewall has been campaigning to improve the lives of lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) people. Join us as our Finance Officer and assist our Finance team in supporting all other departments by providing accurate and timely financial information so Stonewall can continue doing what we do best. As part of the Finance team, you will play a part in safeguarding Stonewall's resources by ensuring that all income and expenditure is properly accounted for. The Finance Officer will be responsible for the completeness of sales on the finance system and ensure that all financial controls and procedures are adhered to. This will include actively embedding best practice in other teams throughout the organisation. This is a great opportunity to develop your skillset and expose yourself to a wealth of systems and software, as well as to acquire invaluable knowledge and experience whilst working across multiple financial disciplines within a small Finance team. It's a mix of duties which will keep you busy. We are looking for someone who is not fazed by a lively office environment and can be organised and able to prioritise a varied workload under pressure. You will have proficient experience in reconciling funds received by Stonewall to the CRM in use as well as any other third party information on a regular basis. Priorities will include but are not limited to overseeing the income/expenditure of our current account, maintaining data integrity, and supporting staff on a variety of finance related tasks. This will initially be a 6-month fixed term contract whereby you will need to be IT literate and adept at Microsoft Office and Excel and as you will be communicating with staff at all levels, you'll also need excellent people skills. Despite being busy, you'll remain calm and your attention to detail will not falter. We welcome applications from everyone and actively seek a diverse range of applicants, so if you have the right mix of skills and experience and a passion for LGBT equality, we want to hear from you. Please complete and return the application and recruitment analysis form by 23.59pm on 24th November 2019. Interview date TBC.
