The Company At Paladin we specialise in resolving cash flow issues by overcoming overdue and slow moving accounts. Overdue accounts can represent a real and ever present problem for many businesses that adversely affects their overall performance. Repercussions of late payments can be severe as not only will it restrict growth but it can damage relationships with clients and suppliers alike. The role of each credit controller is to undertake all aspects of credit control and debt recovery for the firm for our specific client, a world leading Biotech company, although other client duties will be undertaken. Job Role This role is temporary with a view to a possible permanent position, with a minimum three months initial contract. Hours are commonly 'follow the sun' dependent on the customer base, with flexibility expected, a typical shift would be 11am-7pm but it does vary, Description Prepare monthly collections processes within prescribed guidelines. Collection of outstanding balances by email and telephone. (Chasing outstanding debt makes up 70% of this role) Assessing and implementing appropriate collection methods using discretion and judgement, referring to senior colleagues and partners whenever necessary. This aspect of the role will involve frequent telephone and email contact with clients and customers across the globe. Producing and delivering client statements and other supporting documents as required. Maintaining accurate records of collection activities in the firm's debt management systems. Undertaking any other duties as required by the line manager/and or head of department. Allocating bank payments to customer's accounts This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly competent and enthusiastic team player, able to contribute significantly to the team's performance. Skills and Experience Required: Fluent in English Fluency in French, German or Spanish an advantage Experience of working in a Credit Control position in a professional practice or advisory business is preferable but is not a prerequisite. Possess strong influencing skills developed within a client facing role. Good use of Excel and competent IT functionality Able to maintain focus and pace without close supervision and adapt to working in both the fee earning environment and very closely with other credit controllers and finance staff. Possess accurate and versatile communication skills, with an understanding of which option to select in different circumstances Sales background would be of interest (Accountancy) for this position in order to provide the highest quality of service to clients Salary and rate negotiable (depending on experience)
