We are recruiting for a growing accountancy firm based in Winnersh, Berkshire and they are seeking a Senior Qualified Chartered Accountant to effectively deliver, manage and review products and services provided to clients to the required company standards. Salary up to £42,000 per annum, plus benefits Main Responsibilities Expected Within the Role Accounts, Business Tax and Self-Assessment Tax Returns Preparation & review of year end accounts (under FRS105 & FRS102 Section 1a), business tax computations and self-assessment tax returns for business owners Providing joined up personal and business tax advice to business owners Delivery of all other compliance client services Outsourcing Preparation & review of management accounts and VAT returns Management reporting and bookkeeping services provided to clients by your team Preparation of business forecasts Planning workflow Plan and manage your diary effectively on a weekly basis Plan and manage your teams time Identify potential risks that need to be discussed with the partners Ensure that your jobs are planned effectively Controlling workflow Understand status of every job Ensure that your team follow FLB processes Reviewing workflow Ensure all jobs are reviewed at the appropriate level (determined at planning) Identify any opportunities to provide additional services to clients Identify potential risks that need to be discussed with the partners Deadlines Monitor and manage deadlines for compliance work Monitor and manage deadlines for all jobs where you manage the client Management of team Managing a team of 2-3 members of staff Managing training within the team to ensure each member of the team receive sufficient training where required WIP and Billing Complete your timesheet to ensure that: Time is appropriately recorded Non-chargeable time is being identified Additional services are identified and billed for Provide any relevant information that may be required for invoicing Review your timesheet and your teams' timesheets weekly to ensure that: Time is accurately recorded for the services provided Time is allocated against the correct work type Work with your team to identify reasons for time consuming jobs or unprofitable client services Delivering product and services to client Ensure that all final products delivered to clients meets company standards Other Attend client meetings (where appropriate) You will be required to demonstrate and develop aspects of: Effective problem solving Be well organised Deal with a variety of tasks Maintain a positive attitude Work under pressure Product Responsibility Statutory accounts Corporation tax computations and CT600's Self-assessment tax returns for business owners Delivery of VAT returns Delivery of management accounts Company secretarial services Software Skills Required Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook Xero Experience on Iris Accounts Production preferred
