Change Public Practice are recruiting an Accounts & Audit professional for an independent CA firm based in Edinburgh City Centre. This opportunity would suit a Qualified or QBE Accountant with experience gained within practice. Candidates either currently in practice, or who have moved into Industry/FS and are keen to back into the profession, will both be considered as well as those from the Newly Qualified to Manager/Senior Manager level. This role offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio, with businesses ranging in size and sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Audits over the busy season in addition to general practice duties, ranging from accounts preparation & client management, through to VAT & Tax. The firm are flexible and understanding of those who are keen to progress within a mixed accounts and audit role and so will be open to considering candidates with a purely audit background and so will provide training on accounts work. The duties within this role are: - Manage a client portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies - Produce statutory accounts for clients maintained using Iris - Preparing management accounts when appropriate - Assisting both clients and colleagues with technical queries - Working closely with the Associate & Partner - Involvement in Audit engagements Skills and experience required: - ACCA/CA qualified or Qualified by Experience - At least 3 years' experience gained in practice - Ideally strong accounts and audit background but client can be flexible - Knowledge of Iris and Xero would be advantageous - A background in building & maintain strong client relationships If you would like to be considered for this role please apply with a copy of your most recent CV.
