Harvey McQueen have an excellent opportunity available with one of our widely successful clients based in Bolton. Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant. This varied role would be excellent for someone who would like to join a fast paced, busy, hardworking organisation. Hours of Work - Monday -Thursday 9am-5:30pm Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm This is a fast-paced demanding role with lots of variety. Duties and responsibilities will include; Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary Analyse and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Oversee taxes and abide by government regulations Responsible direct line reports - Ledger Clerks - Purchase ledger - Sales ledger - Bank Reconciliations - Supplier reconciliations - VAT returns (MTD) - Import documentation - ensuring import papers are compliant - c79 forms - Stock takes Qualifications required ; We are looking for the following experience and qualifications in order to apply for this role; - A minimum of three years practical experience within an Accountant role - Sage 50 experience - AAT Level 4 Qualified or QBE Ideally CIMA in the last stages of Qualification Salary £30,000 per annum
